English Learner Identification Process
English Learner identification process at Great Falls Public Schools was designed according to guidance from the State of Montana and follows federal Title III guidelines.

EL Assessment
ACCESS for ELLs is an annual academic language assessment that is administered in grades K-12. This assessment meets U.S. federal requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for monitoring and reporting ELs’ progress toward English language proficiency. ACCESS for ELLs tests students' academic language in the four domains: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing.
