Committee Membership
Each of the schools in our district has a representative on the EL committee, which meets every month. The purpose of the committee is to ensure success of English Learners by:
- Gaining and sharing knowledge, skills and strategies for effective teaching of English Learners
- Communicating with and training building level staff
- Supporting teachers and families to meet unique educational needs of ELs.
English Learner Committee Members are a great resource available in every school in our district. We encourage all teachers who have ELs in their classroom to reach out to the EL Committee representative in their school building. If you are interested in learning more about working with ELs, ask your principal about joining the EL committee.
