Online School

GFPS Remote Middle and High School will launch in the 2025–2026 school year, providing credit accrual virtual learning options for both homeschool/out-of-district students and currently enrolled GFPS students. To maintain full-time enrollment status, all students must commit to five courses per semester (high school) or per trimester (middle school). The courses can be a combination of online and face-to-face with a minimum of two being online. Current GFPS students who wish to consider this program should contact their schools administrative team beginning August 5th.

Students wishing to return to full time in-person learning may do so only at designated credit transition points - end of the semester (high school) or end of the trimester (middle school). Online enrollment will be capped at a combined 100 students total across all grade bands (7-12).

All students will be required to complete proctored midterm and final exams, as well as all state-mandated assessments, in a face-to-face setting at your assigned school.

Course offerings include: English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/PE (High School only), and Finance & Career Prep (High School only). At this time, all elective courses will be delivered in-person at your assigned school.

Online courses run with designated credit transition points. Working at your own pace may have the course completed ahead of the grading period, but the next course can not be started until the next credit transition period.

Students accepted into online learning can continue on at the end of each credit transition period unless they break the contract, return to in-class learning, or choose to leave the program.

Once a student is selected to join the online learning program, informational meetings will be scheduled at your school of residence before they begin the program. This meeting will go over the rules, expectations and requirements and the learning contract will need to be signed before enrollment can be completed.
