Online School

GFPS Online Middle and High School will continue in the 2026–2027 school year, providing credit accrual online learning options for both homeschool/out-of-district students and currently enrolled GFPS students. To maintain full-time enrollment status, all students must commit to five courses per semester (high school) or per trimester (middle school). The courses can be a combination of online and face-to-face with a minimum of two being online. 

Students wishing to return to full time in-person learning may do so only at designated credit transition points - end of the semester (high school) or end of the trimester (middle school). 

All students will be required to complete proctored state-mandated assessments, in a face-to-face setting at your assigned school.

Course offerings include: English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, and Finance & Career Prep (High School only). At this time, all elective courses will be delivered in-person at your assigned school.

Online courses run with designated credit transition points. At the end of the semester (high school) or trimester (middle school) the course must be completed. The relative grade on the deadline date will be entered in PowerSchool and the course will be marked completed. Working at your own pace may have the course completed ahead of the grading period, but the next course can not be started until the next credit transition period.

Students accepted into online learning for the year can continue on at the end of each credit transition period unless they break the contract, return to in-class learning, or choose to leave the program.

Once the application is submitted a meeting will be scheduled to determine acceptance in to the program, and go over rules, expectations and requirements if accepted. Preference will be given to returning online students who successfully completed GFPS Online School in 2025-26 with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The learning contract will need to be signed before enrollment can be completed.

The application process for the 2026-27 school year is now closed.  If there are open seats, the next application period will be in late October for Middle School and late December for High school.
