Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design fo Learning (UDL)
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework for creating learning environments that address the diverse needs of all learners. UDL aims to change the design of the environment rather than changing the learner. All educators and service providers who work with the student(s) can provide UDL.
All students can benefit from UDL supports- it is not specific to students with disabilities.
UDL is comprised of 3 main guidelines:
- Provide Multiple Means of Engagement
- Provide Multiple Means of Representation
- Provide Multiple Means of Action and Expression
