How to file: School District Trustee Filing Timeline
There are currently three, three-year terms on the District School Board that are expiring. Any individuals who are interested in running must file a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy with the County Elections Office. This office is located at 325 2nd Ave North, Great Falls. The filing date to do this is December 13, 2018 through March 28, 2019. Candidates must report campaign expenditures to the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices.
Trustee Resolution Calling for an Election
The Board approved the Resolution Calling for a School Election to be held on May 7, 2019, on February 11, 2019, at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees. The purpose of the election is to elect three (3) trustees each for a three-year term. Approval of additional levies to operate and maintain the General Fund and Technology Fund for FY 2019 may also be requested. If it is later determined that any portion of the election is not required, the Board of Trustees authorizes Brian Patrick, election administrator, to cancel that portion of the election in accordance with 13-1-304, MCA and 20-3-313, MCA.
