How to file: School District Trustee Filing Timeline
There are currently three, three-year terms on the District School Board that are expiring. Any individuals who are interested in running must file a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy with the County Elections Office. This office is located at 325 2nd Ave North, Great Falls. The filing date to do this is December 10, 2015 through March 24th, 2016. Candidates must report campaign expenditures to the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices.

The Board approved the Resolution Calling for a School Election to be held on May 3, 2016, on February 22, 2016, at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees.The purpose of the election is to elect three (3) trustees for three-year terms, or as otherwise designated. Approval of additional levies to operate and maintain the General Fund and Technology Fund for FY 2017 will also be requested. The levy amounts, if any, for the General Fund and Technology Fund need to be decided and approved by March 28, 2016.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that registration for the following school district elections, to be held on May 3, 2016, will close at 5:00 p.m., on April 4, 2016.
School Districts 1 & A, Great Falls
School Districts 3 & B, Cascade
School Districts 5 & C, Centerville
School Districts 29 & D, Belt
School Districts 55 & F, Sun River Valley and Simms
School District 74, Vaughn
School District 85, Ulm
All active and inactive electors residing within the School Districts are entitled to vote at said election.
Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing before the County Election Administrator. Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the Cascade County Elections Office.
NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the County Elections Office up to 12:00 noon on the day before the election, and including on Election Day. On Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office to pick up and vote a ballot.
If you have moved, it is necessary to have your registration transferred to your present address.
