September 30, 2013 – We All Win When We Live United

EDUCATION (helping children achieve academic greatness), INCOME (promoting financial stability), and HEALTH (helping families live healthy lives)…these are the goals of the United Way of Cascade County. United Way says that when “a child succeeds in school, when a neighborhood improves, when families have good health and workers have solid jobs, we all win!”  They believe in the 3 Ours just like we do:  Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future!

As noted at Convocation, GFPS is fortunate to count the United Way of Cascade County as a partner in our winning success.  For example in August, they stuffed the bus to provide school supplies for our students. We all win when kids are prepared for school.  In September, United Way sponsored a variety of Attendance Awareness Month activities.  We all win when kids come to school.  In October, United Way will focus on several Graduation Matters events throughout the community.  We all win when kids graduate. GFPS can’t do it alone.  United Way can’t do it alone.  But we CAN do it together!

The GFPS United Way giving campaign is slated to begin soon.  If you have donated to the United Way in the past either through on-going payroll deduction or a one-time donation, thank you.  I hope you will continue to do so.  If you haven’t given in the past, I ask that you take a moment to read the information provided and to consider a donation, no matter how small.  Every contribution makes a difference!

I thank you in advance for contributing to our partner, the United Way of Cascade County.  We all win when we live united.

Sincerely,

Tammy Lacey

Superintendent
