As the holiday break begins next week, I encourage you to enjoy the gift of time:
Time to rejuvenate and recharge your batteries;
Time to spend with the people who matter the most to you; and
Time to reflect on the important work you do for our kids, our community and our futures.
Also, in my continued efforts to be grateful, I would also like to say a simple “thank you.” Thank you for giving the gift of education to our kids. Thank you for your generosity in helping so many community members this giving season. And thank you for making the future of this great nation bright.
As the holiday season ends with the coming of the New Year, I challenge each of us to put some of the spirit of this time into our hearts so we can spill a little out each coming day.
Happy Holidays to you and those you love. My best wishes for a great 2014.
