Purple Up Day, Thursday, April 18

April, the Month of the Military Child, is set aside to recognize and honor the commitment, contributions and sacrifices military children and youth make to the nation through the strength they provide our soldiers and their families. On Thursday, April 18, GFPS is celebrating Purple Up Day.  Please wear purple as a way to thank, honor, and recognize the many contributions of our military students. Why purple? Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red and Navy blue.

Purple Up! for military kids

Host Families Needed for Japanese 4-H Youth

Learn about another culture in-depth when you host a student from Japan this summer. Delegates are here to experience what it is like to live with a “typical” American family. Program dates are July 21-August 17 and the 24 delegates are from 12-16 years old. For more information, contact MSU 4-H International Program Coordinator Stephanie Davison (406-994-3502) or go to https://www.states4hexchange.org/apply/host/ to apply. Families should have a youth at home who is within 2-3 years of the person they host and the same gender.
