This is the seventh edition of the Great Falls Public Schools Profi le. It is a document intended to be the public version of a corporate report. The intended audience is made up of those with a direct interest in schools,
including people contemplating a move to Great Falls, realtors, businesses currently in Great Falls, and businessesconsidering relocating here.
One of the primary users of the document will be the trustees. The Profile provides information they will need
to guide the direction of the District.
I would like to thank many people who were involved in preparing this report. First, Chris Provance, who
was in charge of the project. Chris collected and reviewed data, created graphs, and supervised production.
Chris deserves the lion’s share of the credit for its completion. Her assistant, Ande Brinka, coordinated the
data collection, worked with design and layout, selected the graphics, and typed Profi le drafts. Their boss, Dr.
Chris Wortman-Engren, provided leadership and oversaw the project.
A special thanks to Debbie Davila and Heather Spurzem for the demographic information about schools, staffingand students. Deb Yerkes, Mary Rearden, Tammie Siller & Pat Huber provided information on special
education and extended services. Corri Smith and Dulce Whitford provided Indian Education for All information
and Sandra Boham provided the Title VII Indian Education information. Sally Mathers, Bobbi Westphal,
and Tammy Morse helped to gather program information and Janet Enloe provided data about GFPS informationservices and technology departments. Budget information was provided by Kim Fadrhonc and Bob Odermann.Tom Kotynski compiled the community involvement and student volunteer information.
